Graco TurboBooster 8674BUZ Buzz Lightyear Edition: Disney Does Car Seats Graco TurboBooster 8674 Toy Story

Turning three appears to be a rite of passage for our kids: the Binky Fairy comes and take their binkies for little babies who need binkies; they get to pick their own birthday outings, and, for some reason, we usually have a new baby coming which means everyone needs to bump up a carseat, and whoever is turning three gets a new “big kid” booster. My daughter has a Starriser Comfy Booster Seat that we weren’t particularly impressed with, so when I spotted the TurboBooster 8674 Buzz Lightyear Edition, I decided to break our habit and give this seat a whirl.

Wonderful seat! Graco ComfortSport 8631 Drayton Convertible Car Seat

If you can’t afford a this is the next best thing. I am so happy with this seat, the LATCH system is super easy to use, its also relatively easy to get in securely using the traditional seat belt.

Easy to remove and wash the cover, an overall great seat. Very Affordable and easy to install for one person. Also safe to use on aircraft which is a big plus for us.

Its the only seat you need for many years, from newborn, rear-facing 5-20 pounds, to small child, Forward facing 20-40 pounds.

Cowabunga! Britax Roadster Booster Car Seat

I’ve owned quite a few car seats. My wife and I each have our own set for the 2 boys. I needed a new one (of course need is relative) for my new car with a third row of seats. I had a few essential qualifications for the new seat.

1. It had to Safe.

2. It had to be easy to get in and out of the car.

3. It had to be cool.

4. It had to be easy to get from the middle row in to the back row or the back storage for a variety of seating arrangements.

Cosco Alpha Omega: Recommended by SLC Children’s Hospital. Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 5Point 22155 Transpire Booster Car Seat

UPDATE: (July 13, 2005) Can you believe it??? We are still using the Alpha Omega car seats we purchased five years ago! Since the twins, we had another little daughter who is now using one of the seats, and another baby daughter transitioning into one in the next year. My husband and I have traveled extensively, via air and car, and took both seats with us on all trips. (It is wise, however, to replace carseats any older than four to five years — for safety concerns over such long use.) My only problem with the seats are the shoulder straps, which twist easily within the chest harness and buckle. That aside, we will surely be looking at purchasing another brand carseat once more!

A Great Third Car Seat Evenflo Traditions Booster Devon Black

The Traditions Booster is our son’s third car seat, and if it had a recline position then it could have been his second and last car seat. He started in an On My Way, and moved on to an Titan 5.

The Traditions has a superb 5 point harness that’s easier to adjust than anything I’ve seen to date on the market. It is rated for a child of 20-40 pounds when used with the 5 point harness, but is rated for a child of 30-80 pounds when used as a booster. It will also accommodate a very tall child, and our son grew too tall for his second car seat. He’s been in about the 80-90 percentile for height based on age throughout his young life.

Not to shabby Graco TurboBooster 8491 FOF

I needed to replace a booster that my daughter had that was falling apart. So I opted for this one. She is tall enough now that her head hits the head rest in my pick up, so I didn’t need a high back anymore. This seat was super easy right out of the box. I snapped in the arm rests, in went couple of screws, and voila. She was using it within minutes of leaving the parking lot at Wal mart.

Recaro Vivo vs. Britax Parkway and the winner is . . . Recaro 35100MM5A Booster Car Seat

We recently purchased the new Recaro Vivo booster after using a Parkway for almost 2 years (our daughter is 7 now). We liked the Parkway just fine, but the Vivo blows it away. First of all, the construction of the Vivo is just on a whole different level. I would expect the Vivo to cost $40-50 more than the Parkway, which seems almost flimsy in comparison. For the Vivo to be the same price is a real bargain. The plastic is thick and solid, the headrest is reinforced with steel. The mechanism to raise and lower the headrest seems to be extremely well designed, and makes a distinct clicking sound at each height level. The Parkway head section starts to bend when it is raised up high, but the Vivo doesn’t do that due to two steel rods reinforcing the headrest.
