We were looking for a reasonably priced car seat with good reviews, as well as a car seat that could grow with our child. The Eddie Bauer Deluxe Convertible car seat will fit a child 5 lbs to 100 lbs. Plus, I really like a couple great extra features like the arm rests and cup holders.

We decided to purchase one for each car. We have been using the seat for 3 weeks now and I am feeling like we should have decided on another car seat.

This standard booster car seat isn%26rsquo;t as luxurious as other brands; for instance, it doesn%26rsquo;t have a molded headrest, just a simple (but appreciated) head pillow and padded arm rests. It%26rsquo;s not stuffed with the ever-popular EPS foam, either, but a body pillow that can be removed and washed when necessary. Safety features include stabilization tethers that prevent sliding, and padded harnesses at the torso which also fit over the shoulders. It%26rsquo;s a pared down car seat, without a lot of creature comforts (there%26rsquo;s a small storage pouch and cup holder placed conveniently at the knee, but that%26rsquo;s about it). Last September our eldest son was kicked out of the built-in child seats in our Chrysler Town %26 Country in favor of the newly-born baby. The baby had to be seated in a baby carrier/car seat, and it was difficult at best to get into the back seat. Knowing that we would eventually need to own three booster seats or kid seats, we started our search.

What is the Evenflo Big Kid Booster Seat?

We purchased 2 of these car seats for my 3 1/2 year old daughter who is 38″ tall and weighs 34 pounds. The seats are for her grandparent’s cars. Our daughter has been very happy riding around in her 2 Britax Roundabouts we have in each of our cars. I have been very hesitant to put her in a booster at all, much preferring the 5 point safety of her Britax. However, she was nearing the 40″ height limit on her Britax, and the top of her head was over the back of her car seat. I researched purchasing a larger seat to keep her in 5 point. Few choices were available, they were very expensive (Britax Husky $240.00) and her pediatrician said she was tall enough and weighed enough to graduate into a booster.
