My husband and I bought this carseat when we were expecting our daughter. It was quite easy to install in our minivan, even using the seatbelt. I didn’t like the leveling position, however. It’s simply a straight line on the seat. The carseat I have now has a ball that shows if it is level. This wasn’t a huge concern, however. It was easy to detach from the base and the carrying handle was easy to lay back. I wish the straps were easier to adjust. You have to adjust them from the back of the carseat and “hold” the straps in place to get them adjusted. A little difficult with a newborn! Also, after many uses, it seemed to get a little harder to get it to snap onto the base each time. The only other design “flaw” would be the puzzle-type crotch buckle. What infant can undo a buckle?! Otherwise, it is a great seat. The cover comes off easily for washing and the rain guard was easy to install.

I bought this as a travel system and it fit beautifully with the stroller. It was quite easy to put on and off the stroller, as well.

I would highly recommend this seat. It’s a great carseat, with an excellent crash rating, for not a lot of money.

My daughter was about 4 months old when I developed a crick in my neck and a torn rotator cuff from constant turning around at red lights to put the pacifier in her mouth so she would stop crying. (Ok, so I exaggerated, it only FELT like a crick in the neck and a torn rotator cuff.) The pacifier didn’t work. After a few weeks of the incessant crying, I just thought “let her cry herself to sleep”. Well, that didn’t work either and I needed to carry a bottle of Advil Liqui-Gels in the car just to get to the store!!! (That part IS NOT an exaggeration). Shortly after our oldest turned one it was time to purchase her a convertible car seat. I did some research and headed down to our local baby store where I was a given a song and dance about the $200 Britax car seat. The sales woman looked shocked as I corrected the errors in her sales pitch and proceeded to buy the exact seat that I wanted, an Evenflo Triumph.

It was time once again for the car seat shuffle. Our once beloved Evenflo Triumph had met an early demise and had to be replaced immediately.
